Alberta’s Fork in the Road – The Impact of Potential Outcomes of the Provincial Election

Alternate Text or Title of article
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m
Calgary, AB

Perhaps never in recent memory has there been so much anticipation of a provincial election.  At stake is Alberta’s fiscal and social future, and at odds are two very different platforms and very different views on how to chart a solid path for the province.  The choice facing Albertans will be stark.

That’s why The School of Public Policy has assembled a panel of experts from various fields to assess the pitches that are being made, fact check them, and offer analysis of the longer-term impacts of the policy promises being made by each party.  If you think this election is worth thinking about, we invite you to join us for this event.

Speakers:

  • Adam Legge, Director, Global Business Futures Initiative, Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership, Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary
  • Dr. Trevor Tombe, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, University of Calgary and Research Fellow, The School of Public Policy, University of Calgary
  • Beth Gignac, Chief Operating Officer, United Way of Calgary and Area
  • Deborah Yedlin, Chancellor, University of Calgary
