Master of Public Policy Class of 2017 Welcome Reception
The School of Public policy started the school year off right, with a welcome reception for the Master of Public Policy class of 2017, on Aug 30th. We would like to formally thank all who attended, with special acknowledgment to the Honorable Rona Ambrose, MP and interim leader of the PC Party, Geoffrey A. Cumming, Chairman and CEO, Karori Capital Ltd. and Advisory Council member as well as Daniel Halyk, President and CEO of Total Energy Services Ltd. and Advisory Council member for their inspiring words.

The MPP program is not about fuzzy, theoretical or purely academic knowledge. The School specializes in real-world policy research of issues that matter to ordinary Canadians in their day to day lives. How to export more and realize a better price for our exports, how to raise our standard of living, how to reduce homelessness, how to make our health care system better. It’s much easier to critique a problem than to offer concrete proposals for fixing a problem. But the School strives to do just that.
