Strengthening Canada’s Food System by Reducing Food Waste

Canada’s food supply chain is of vital importance to all Canadians. Recent research has shown that there is more than 40% wastage over that supply chain; that is a huge proportion of lost resources between the farm and our tables. Food supply is also subject to major disruptions, especially in this era of COVID-19, which has compounded the issue of food security in Canada.

Join The School of Public Policy for a virtual presentation to learn about some of the major causes of these issues, and how the industry can use these challenges as a catalyst for change when tackling food waste and security in Canada.
