Preparatory Courses

Block Course I – Preparatory Empirical Methods*. This course is taught during the last part of August. Background readings will be provided to the student at least a month prior to the course. Instruction will be four hours per day for 5 days with an equivalent amount of time available to the student for reading, studying and exercises. The examination will be within one week of completion of the course and will be Pass/Fail.

Block Course II – Preparatory Economics*. This course is taught during the last part of August. Background readings will be provided to the student a month prior to the course. Instruction will be four hours per day for 5 days with an equivalent amount of time available to the student for reading, studying and exercises. The examination will be within one week of completion of the course and will be Pass/Fail.

*  The preparatory courses in empirical methods and economics may be waived for students having recently taken equivalent courses in their undergraduate program.
